We're back!

As promised, we are back in business. The contest starts tonight and will run for two weeks. You know the rules (:

The only change is that we have replaced the (quite annoying) ID by cell phone process with a voting applications. It's a small file which runs in the background, enables identification of the computer from which the vote was received, and better video delivery (ads, Yme) via P2P technology.

That's it (: Once this contest is over we'll start a new one right away, until mid-september (and onwards, we hope). Within the next few days we'll initiate a second contest (monthly) - with a prize for reaching the highest number of unique voters. Stay tuned!

inter8ing's daily competition: Tips and Tricks

This note is for everyone who participates, or planning to participate inter8ing. Here we will explain to you how can you win bigger cash prizes, easier.

Gaining More Votes

Get our Application
We have voting applications on bebo and facebook! Get them, and it will put a big shiny inter8ing button on your profile which starts a voting process directly to your profile.
Bebo: http://apps.bebo.com/inter8ing/
Facebook: http://apps.facebook.com/interating/?ref=ts

Stay updated with our groups!
inter8ing is a beta service which is going through frequent changes. It's important to join our groups to stay updated. and more than that: to keep in touch with other inter8ing users. Here are our groups:
Inter8ing on Bebo,
inter8ing on facebook,
inter8ing on myspace

Ask all your friends to vote for you, and be clear when you do it
Make sure your friends understand what does voting on inter8ing mean! Explain that voting for you will get you a cash prize. Explain your friends how to vote. Explain them they can do it three times a day, every day. Tell them we will never use their e-mail orphone number. After they'll understand, they will sure do it for you!

Use your great big friend list
Some of you have enormous friend lists, why not use it? Go and tell all your friends on bebo, facebook, myspace and any other social network you want to win some money. Good friends help each other!

Use your e-mail connections
You must have friends also on your e-mail contact list! You can send an e-mail to your contact list and explain them what this contest is and why it's so important for you to win.

Ask your schoolmates to vote for you
Just tell your real friends, outside the internet, about the contest! Face to face conversation is even more convincing than a silent message! Ask your family members to vote for you too!

Exchange votes with other profiles on the contest
Go to users that are already on inter8ing. You can find their profiles on our website, and add them to your friend list! Tell them you will vote for them and ask them to vote for you in return. Why do it? First – they already signed up and understand inter8ing, so you don't have to waste time on explaining. Second, if you switch votes with 10 users, you will get 10 more extra votes per day. It's worth it! Our best all time winners do it.

Some statistics:
Wining inter8ing is not that hard!
Notice that now you only need a minimum of 20 points to win a daily prize! Actually, it's really simple! Can't you convince 20 people to vote for you? we sure you can.

Making a good Yme video

Yme video is a 30 seconds video you have to do in order to participate and win inter8ing. Here are some simple tricks that will help you creating a better video.

First thing, you have to follow the Yme Video Rules!
1. We will only accept video clips and not slideshows (Presentations).
2. The video must show your face and play your voice.
3. The video must be clear, with correct lighting and sound sync.
4. All videos must be in English.
5. It has to contain the word inter8ing in the video and in its title.
6. It has to be up to 30 seconds long. We might accept longer videos if they have good reason to be longer.

And now – for some tips.
Take care of the lighting!
Make sure the lighting is good. You don't have to be a professional photographer to have a table lamp!
- don’t stand in front of a light source! standing in front of a window makes you look like a big bulk of shadow. Make sure the light is falling on your face, and not behind your back.
The best lightning you can get, is during the daytime, in a room with white walls that reflect the light from outside.
If it's not daytime, use your table lamp. Stand in front of a wall, aim the lamp to the wall, direct the camera to your face, and your video will look much better.

Take care of the Sound!
Make sure you're filming in a quiet place. Turn off any music, TV, radio, anything. Shut the doors and windows. Make sure we can hear you! after filming, you can add the music you want with simple editing.

stay close
People prefer to see close ups. They feel more connected to you when they see your eyes and your face expressions. It's psychological!

Good luck! And we're waiting for more amazing videos!

Good luck,
And if you need any more help, don't hesitate to message us!
